Welcome to the new BeGreen Blog, a place where you can stay current on climate change and learn how to shrink your impact on the environment. Although there are a lot of “green” blogs to choose from out there, we think we’ve got a unique voice to add to the mix. The BeGreen blog will offer our perspective on a wide range of environmental topics, from carbon policy to greening your family’s summer vacation.
BeGreen is made up of a small team of people who think global warming is a pretty serious problem, one that we’d like to help more people do something about. If you feel the same way, add us to your RSS feed to keep up with what’s on our minds. Usually, you’ll be hearing from me, Sarah Smith. I’m the environmental affairs specialist for BeGreen, which means I help keep track of all things green for the company.
If you’re visiting BeGreen for the first time, you may not have noticed that we also reorganized our site. Some of the changes include streamlining our content, adding more interactive features and social media presence, and shaking things up on our homepage. We hope you’ll take some time to acquaint yourself with our new look, and maybe even invite other green-minded folks to do so as well. Click on our new BeGreen Everywhere section to see some of our new ways of reaching out.
This month, BeGreen is doing a lot of reaching out at various events. We’ll be making several appearances in March, including:
• SXSW Interactive, March 13th – 17th in Austin, Texas
• Green Travel Summit, March 23rd – 24th in Newport Beach, California
• Green East, March 26th-28th in New York City
Perhaps we’ll see you there!
